Our natural solutions: The key to a vital dog during tick season

Temperatures are rising and tick season is beginning. As a rule, ticks become active from a constant temperature of over 7 degrees Celsius, but the geographical location, climate and weather also play a major role

Ticks often seek out dogs, cats or even humans as hosts to bite into. What makes ticks so dangerous is their role as carriers of pathogens such as bacteria or viruses. There are many different types of ticks and also possible diseases. One of the most common diseases caused by tick bites is borreliosis or anaplasmosis.

We all love long walks through the woods, playing and romping in the meadows with our four-legged friends. But very often we can't enjoy these moments completely carefree because there is always the fear of possible tick bites.

Tick bites can sometimes transmit life-threatening diseases that we want to protect our pets from.

Together with our veterinary practitioners, we have developed a natural product made from brewer's yeast and thiamine. This composition influences various metabolic processes in the body and can, among other things, lead to a change in the natural skin odor - which is hardly noticeable to humans. This odor has a repellent effect on ticks and can therefore offer perfect protection.

A 2019 study showed that dogs fed a brewer's yeast-thiamine complex had a significantly lower number of ticks than those not fed the complex. This suggests that a combination of brewer's yeast and thiamine can have a repellent effect on ticks.

What is in our Tick Shield?

Our natural tick protection contains a valuable ingredient: brewer's yeast. But what exactly is brewer's yeast and how can it help our four-legged friends? Brewer's yeast, a product from the world of fungi, is a rich source of important B vitamins. These vitamins cannot be produced by our animals themselves and must therefore be supplied through their diet or food supplements. The elements contained in brewer's yeast in particular, such as biotin and zinc , can have a positive effect on the skin health of our four-legged friends and optimize cell metabolism. Combined with first-class thiamine, brewer's yeast provides excellent natural protection for your dog.

Vitamin B1, also known as thiamine, plays a central role in the energy balance and nerve function of our four-legged friends. It not only contributes to the formation of collagen - a key element for healthy skin and a shiny coat - but is also very important for your dog's well-being and performance . Although dogs can produce vitamin B1 themselves with the help of intestinal bacteria, the quantities are often insufficient. In addition, many pet foods do not contain enough thiamine. The solution? A high-quality food supplement can help to optimize your dog's thiamine supply.

Brewer's yeast and thiamine form a powerful partnership with multiple benefits. The synergistic effect of these natural ingredients provides support for skin and coat as well as cell vitality. If your four-legged friend suffers from dry, flaky skin or even eczema, this combination could help to alleviate the symptoms. But that's not all - the holistic effect of brewer's yeast and thiamine can also have a beneficial effect on the gastrointestinal tract. In particular, the fiber present in brewer's yeast can bring the intestinal flora into a healthy balance and help the intestinal mucosa to regenerate.

Frequently asked questions

Aniforte®Tick Shield supports your dog's natural skin metabolism and helps to maintain the natural skin barrier. This provides your dog with the best possible natural protection from the inside.

We rely exclusively on the power of nature to provide your dog with the best possible and gentle protection. Chemical tick repellents, such as chemical tick collars, use toxic substances to repel ticks. They often use neurotoxins, which are often poisonous and life-threatening for small animals, but can also harm dogs. This is out of the question for us. If you combine our TickShield with our tick sprayyou will notice that the number of ticks decreases. As all our products are purely natural, tick bites cannot be ruled out, but the number of ticks will be noticeably reduced.
Important: Therefore, please continue to search your dog after every walk and remove the ticks promptly.
